American Indian/Alaskan Native              Georgia Special Emphasis Program Representative

I am the American Indian/Alaska Native Special Emphasis Program Manager and Tribal Liaison for USDA/NRCS in Georgia.  I am of Creek descent and a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation, which are headquartered in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

My career with NRCS started in 1983.  For the past 24 years, I have served as the Soil Conservation Technician in Miller County, in Southwest Georgia.  I was appointed as AI/AN SEPM in January 2005 and assumed the role of Tribal Liaison in January 2006.  I am active member of NRCS’s Southeast Region American Indian Workgroup and the Georgia Civil Rights Advisory Committee.  There are currently three State Recognized Tribes in Georgia; The Lower Muskogee Creeks in Southwest GA., the Georgia Band of Eastern Cherokee in Northern GA., & the Cherokee of Georgia Tribal Council in Southeast GA.   (See Map)  I enjoy working with the tribes and helping tribal members to conserve our natural resources for future generations.
